How and when did El Jannah launch?

El Jannah was family-founded over 20 years ago in Granville, NSW. The Estephan family remain in the business today, working hand-in-hand with CEO, and QSR guru, Brett Houldin. Our food philosophy has always been to keep it simple and keep it real. From humble beginnings, the El Jannah business has grown to be one of Australia’s fastest growing Quick Service Restaurants. How much does it cost to become an El Jannah Franchise Partner?

El Jannah is one of Australia’s fastest growing Quick Service Restaurants with some of the highest sales volumes in the sector. Franchise Partnership opportunities cost between $1,500,000 – $1,800,000, depending on the format and store size.

Are there any finance options available?

El Jannah has relationships with various lenders and our franchise team is able to connect you for further conversations when you are ready. We recommend that you commence discussions with your bank as soon as possible to understand your lending capacity and whether investing in a franchise with El Jannah is a viable option for you.

What type of training and support is provided to El Jannah Franchise Partners?

We have a comprehensive training program in place for all new partners joining the El Jannah family of stores. Our training program runs for 12 weeks, plus we offer in-store support for a week. Our comprehensive training is inclusive of front, back of house operations and the overall managing of the restaurant. You will feel confident and ready to start your next career chapter as an El Jannah Franchise Partner.

How long is the application process?

The time of the application process can vary, as everyone’s situation is different. Typically our Franchise Partner candidates reach the final assessment stages of our application process within 8-10 weeks of applying. You will be clear on the status of your application at all times throughout the process. We work transparently and make sure you have all your questions answered, every step of the way.

Do I need to work in the business full time?

20+ years of owning and operating El Jannah stores has taught us that the most profitable businesses are owner-operated. We want you to succeed, so we do have an expectation that our Franchise Partners are working in their businesses. Ideally, we are looking for full-time owner-operators. So if you like to be hands-on, this could be the fresh opportunity you have been looking for.

Do I need previous business or food industry experience to become a franchise partner?

Experience in managing your own business and in the hospitality industry are preferred however it is not compulsory – however an appetite for success is an essential ingredient. If serving customers makes you happy and you believe in the El Jannah brand that has family and sharing good food at its core – then becoming a Franchise Partner could be the great move for you. We will supply you with all the tools, systems, processes and marketing activity to help you reach your business goals.

How long is an El Jannah Franchise Agreement?

We expect a long term commitment which is usually in the range of between 7-15 years, including at least 3 months of unpaid training and an onboarding period before the restaurant opens. Enquire today

Do I need to find a location for my El Jannah store?

No, the El Jannah team can help you with that. We have an experienced team of retail leasing experts that assist our Franchise Partner network in securing new sites, and negotiating lease renewals in consultation with the store owner.

What ongoing support will I receive from El Jannah?

When you join the El Jannah store family, you are allocated a highly experienced Area Manager who will support you directly for the life of your Franchise Partnership. Other teams that will be there to support you as you write your El Jannah chapter include Marketing, IT, Finance, Leasing, Supply Chain and Project Management. We will get to know you personally and you’ll always have people available to answer your questions – whether that’s in week one of your store opening – or years later.

What if I want to own and operate more than one El Jannah store?

We like your ambition. At El Jannah we have a policy that all new Franchise Partners must own and operate their first business for a minimum of 12 months before being considered for additional store locations. If you have proven yourself as a strong El Jannah Franchise Partner and have the financial ability to expand your store network – we welcome discussions around multiple store locations.

Do I have to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia to franchise with El Jannah?

Yes, you will need to hold either a Permanent Australian Residency or be an Australian Citizen to  become a Franchise Partner with El Jannah.
